Into the Mountains

So over the Pioneer Day weekend we had the joy of heading down to Brian Head for family vacation with my fam-a-lam at the Armour cabin(: It was really fun and we did all sorts of awesome activities including: mountain biking, horseback riding, sparklers, ATV-ing, campfires, s'mores, fishing, and watching a play at the Shakespearean Festival(: 

Rachel was super excited to go horseback riding and ride Boss with dad.

It was Derek's first time riding and he did really well and had a great time(: Definitely something g we'll do again in the future.

We rode to the top of what Cowboy Mike called Horse Valley (or something similar).

 

The next day everyone but Amber, Rachel, my g-parents and me went mountain biking. While they did that, we went fishing(:

Amber caught one very quickly and it was so small the hook got caught pretty deep in the fish's throat, making life very interesting while we tried to save this poor fish's life and threw him back in the pond. It was an adventure for sure(:

We found a giant mushroom with whichRachel  made a fairy house(:

Amber got a Polaroid camera for her birthday which is just super fun. It takes super cute and fun pictures and she took some awesome ones during the trip(:

While we were up there we also celebrated my parents 25th wedding anniversary. Even though it was technically July 15, my dad was out of town on business so we celebrated it a bit late(:

On the last day we went off-roading or ATV-ing or whatever you want to call it. 

We went all over Brian Head and stopped at a lot of cool places with awesome views and pretty scenery.

Overall it was a way fun, and much needed trip. A great way to destress and just not worry so that now we can focus on wedding plans(: 18 days to go! Derek and I can start moving our stuff into our new place on the 15th and I go through the temple on the 16th(: I'm so blessed with such awesome family and I'm blessed to have such an awesome fiancé to start this new part of life with(: More updates will come as we go along this new adventure in life(:
