School has started again for Derek, but we definitely made the best of the time we had together before pharmacy school captured all of his time. It was our first summer with Livvy Lou, so we did a handful of really fun stuff and spent as much time with friends and family as we could. To be honest, this post is more for me than anything else, but there are some cute pictures if you want to scroll through and are curious as to what we did this summer😊
We went to Lagoon and the splashpad with Amber's family and my mom and Rach.
APRIL
We visited my Nana and Boppa (Olivia's Boppa and Nana Penney) while Derek checked out a pharmacy school in Phoenix. While we didn't end up choosing that school, it was really fun spending a long weekend with my grandparents. Olivia absolutely loved them.
We also went to the Living Aquarium when my mom and younger sister came up to SLC to visit. IT was fun to see Olivia interact with her cousins, her Nana, and her aunts.
MAY
We went to Papa's Cabin with my family (my parent's cabin). This is one of my favorite family traditions, and it just gets more fun the more people we add to the family.
In May we also went to Canada with my in-laws, but that trip was pretty big, so it's getting it's own post.
JUNE
We went to Lagoon and the splashpad with Amber's family and my mom and Rach.
At the end of the month, we all went to Oceanside and stayed in a beach house for my mom's birthday. Olivia LOVED the ocean and the beach. Water is definitely her element.
JULY
Livvy enjoyed her first 4th of July, and liked the fireworks and watermelon.
As a last hurrah before we moved, we went to the zoo with Aunt Amber and cousins.
Aunt Taylor came home from her mission and Uncle Brendan gave his farewell address for his mission the same weekend. It was good to see them both before moving.
AUGUST
The weekend before we moved, we got together one last time with our "married friends" who we had been friends with since before we got married. We went to the BYU Creamery, the place where it all began. Crazy to think that we all have kids now.
To finish off the summer, right before school started for Derek, Holly came to visit us in Denver and we explored the city, hung out, and had a great time. Olivia loved having her friend here to visit😉
