Yes!! As of Thursday, April 24, I am engaged to Derek Clarke AKA the love of my life and best friend(: I totally wasn't expecting it and he did a great job at surprising me. We like to hike, and so after work we went up to Salt Lake City to hike Ensign Peak.
It was super windy at the top and Derek hates this picture but I think it's awesome(: But it was so windy and cold up there that we ended up going down a ways to another look out point and just sat and talked. We sat there a while because there were a other people around and he wanted to wait till we were alone. I had no idea what was going on, so I was hungry and wanted to go back down. But he kept insisting that we just wait "till it gets darker so we can see all the lights turn on." Little did I know he was just stalling till the other people left. And once they did, he knelt down and proposed and at first I thought he was kidding, until I looked at the ring and started crying and freaked out.

We went to temple square afterwards and looked at the temple and walked around. He makes me super happy and I literally couldn't be more excited and happy to marry this man right here. He treats me better than I've ever been treated and for once I'm excited for the future. Big changes are going to start happening in my life but I'm excited and ready to face them(: I'm getting married!!
